Sir North;

What's the situation?  SHTF survival?  Restrictive laws that we can weasel around?  Strict compliance just because?  Give me a clue here, it'll influence my choices.

A Blaser 93 (if you know what this rifle is, then you know why I picked it.)

Okay maybe I'd settle for a Sauer 202 for a rifle instead. Either way I win.

For the handgun I'd have to go with a T/C Encore for the same reason I want the Blaser.

Shotgun: Remington 870 3 1/2" 12ga. Is there any other shotgun!

Pre 64 Model 70 in an .06 with a low power variable like a leupold 2-5 or old weaver steel tube V7 2.5-7.

12 Guage side x side Fox Sterlingworth.

Either  a Smith 686 in.357 or Ruger Security 6 in.357, 4 inch barrel.

I got all of them, Don't need anything more.

fella's;

If it's SHTF:  A short barreled 12 guage Rem 870 (Thanks Kingpin) that's made for this scenario.  H&K USPc .40.  Wilson tactical .223.  The Wilson is an AR-15 clone.

If it's for getting around a legal restriction:  Dakota LHB switch barrel .223, .30-06, .338 Winmag.  Browning BPS with a slug, rifled, & 28" barrels.  Ruger Blackhawk .357 with the 9mm cyl also.

If it's because that's all I can afford, period:  S&W 686 6" .357.  Winchester mdl 70 classic LHB in .30-06 with Leupold 3.5-10X50mm.  And a Browning custom shop LH 20 guage O/U English stock.

And there you have it.  What's the scenario?

I'm a hunter so:

Remington 870 20 guage lightweight.

Remington M700ADL 308 22 inch tube, like a Shilen barrel on it, but that isn't stock.

T/C contender 44 mag with some extra barrels (30 Herret and 375).

Oh heck, I'll play I suppose.

For hunting, my battery would be this:

Custom WV Rifle based off Winchester Model 70 Classic platform in 30-06 with a Douglas 24 or 26 inch tube for squeezing out the most velocity.  Gonna build this dang thing one of these days!

As for a shotgun, well probably the Remington 870 12 ga with bird and buck barrels.  Got it, save the slug setup.

As for a pistol, I've not decided yet, I've got a S&W 29 in 44 mag but was thinking maybe a Ruger big bore, maybe a 405?

Thank goodness we're not limited to just three!

Trying to catch up with all these posts I missed.

NH you'll probably smile at what I meant in my handgun caliber pick.

I was thinking the 480 Ruger.
