Sometimes things work out and I get a little lucky in the fishing department. Like landing this super pretty rainbow last Saturday on a size 16 midge. I thought some of you might enjoy a little visual diversion for the day.  |

Bear the ice is mostly gone from this particular lake. There is still plenty of ice on many of the lakes in the region, this one is just at a little lower elevation than the others. I use an IPhone 12 Pro to take these photos.

2 feet is normal except for the river reservoirs. My B-I-L got this one on one piece of corn.  |

The boat if repaired and the river is opening back up a little.
The cats may be working there way back up the river from Fort Peck. We may have to check it out. The big spawning walleye will be here by April. New moon on the 13th = ling night fishing...
