Sometimes things work out and I get a little lucky in the fishing department. Like landing this super pretty rainbow last Saturday on a size 16 midge. I thought some of you might enjoy a little visual diversion for the day.  |

Bear the ice is mostly gone from this particular lake. There is still plenty of ice on many of the lakes in the region, this one is just at a little lower elevation than the others. I use an IPhone 12 Pro to take these photos. |

The boat if repaired and the river is opening back up a little. The cats may be working there way back up the river from Fort Peck. We may have to check it out. The big spawning walleye will be here by April.
