Thats the "Before" picture It's all gone now, It's at the boat dealers shop for a WEEK changing out the motor. We did find a "Rub" hole in the hull caused from a roller on the trailer, the reason all the deck was rotted. So after the boat Dr is finished we will pull it to a Fabrication shop and have the hole welded. We where going to use some epoxy to plug the hole but with us planning on pushing it over a LOT of mud/gravel and crap we decided to have it "FIXED" Edited by d4570 |

I get my jon boat welded after miles of bottoming out. Looks like a good rig. I use mine each year in Flodida flats fishing. But thinking of moving to a little bigger john boat with a 25 and getting rid of my 250 hp 23 footer...to old for an old fart. |

Hey D.....from the way it's painted now it must have been used for a duck boat....good idea to get the center seats out....sounds like you have some good ideas on how to revamp it
. Super good deal on the mud motor.....& trade.....I'd like to have mud motor also but not at new prices....My 16ft semi-v jon boat has the same type of rear deck arrangement as does yours...even with the hinged lid to the gas tank hold. also, have same front deck but the guy B4 me extended it rearward about 20" with plywood to make it bigger and uses space below for storage...covered same with green carpet as well as the wood floor...mine is an Aluma-Craft "Waterfowler"..open center for hunting.....what brand is yours???? Sea Nymph. Look how much more room there is with out all the decks.I think the new mudder and two battery's, with a person standing in the back will make it ass heavy, thats why we are putting in a new 19 gallon tank up in the nose, the dry hold will be up there too.Just all my shotgun shells will keep the nose down.
