Well crap!!   I found a used one in my town, Good price and fairly low hours on it. For what ever reason the fuel pump got a leek on the fuel line connection that requires it to be replaced. I took the boat and 25Hp Merc to get the motor and ended up trading it ,helm, and center steer station for a new Pump installed and have them Mount the Go devil on our boat, a good trade and I don't have to sell the motor... :gr:
Here is some pictures so far. It was a FISHING boat with two fishing platforms and two 6 gal fuel tanks on the floor. All the wood was rotten so we took it out down to the bones. Now we are going to get an under deck fuel cell ,put it up front to help balance the Mod Motor. We took the live well and closed all the holes and made a DRY hold and moved it toward the front too. Going to put two side bench seats with gun lockers under them        ( remember duck boat) We will need some kind of "Grab" handle for the driver, he will have to stand and steer the tiller, may be some kind of fold down windshield. it came with two pedestal seats on the fishing decks we will put the  mounts on the floor in the event we want to sit and fish . They come out and can be left behind. We will put a hatch way up front ,to stow the anchor, rope, and chain. All new deck wood , we have a bunch of rubber mat to cover all the floors so we can take it out and hose them off .Last we will repaint the camo and maybe have a blind cover made. It won't be finished this year but we hope to be able to use it a little bit .

Thats the "Before" picture

It's all gone now, It's at the boat dealers shop for a WEEK changing out the motor. We did find a "Rub" hole in the hull caused from a roller on the trailer, the reason all the deck was rotted. So after the boat Dr is finished we will pull it to a Fabrication shop and have the hole welded. We where going to use some epoxy to plug the hole but with us planning on pushing it over a LOT of mud/gravel and crap we decided to have it "FIXED"Then back to work.

I get my jon boat welded after miles of bottoming out.

Looks like a good rig.  I use mine each year in Flodida flats fishing.

But thinking of moving to a little bigger john boat with a 25 and getting rid of my 250 hp 23 footer...to old for an old fart.

Hey D.....from the way it's painted now it must have been used for a duck boat....good idea to get the center seats out....sounds like you have some good ideas on how to revamp it.  Super good deal on the mud motor.....& trade.....I'd like to have mud motor also but not at new prices....

My 16ft semi-v jon boat has the same type of rear deck arrangement as does yours...even with the hinged lid to the gas tank hold.  also, have same front deck but the guy B4 me extended it rearward about 20" with plywood to make it bigger and uses space below for storage...covered same with green carpet as well as the wood floor...mine is an Aluma-Craft "Waterfowler"..open center for hunting.....what brand is yours????

Sea Nymph.

Look how much more room there is with out all the decks.I think the new mudder and two battery's, with a person standing in the back will make it ass heavy, thats why we are putting in a new 19 gallon tank up in the nose, the dry hold will be up there too.Just all my shotgun shells will keep the nose down.
