Wow guys.. Take a look at this video of these guys on an african hunt.. http://myweb.cableone.net/jlflanagan/lion.wmv . Thats very interesting.. That rifle the client is using hardly has recoil to it, makes you think what they are using and why he didnt take a quick follow up shot....

Interesting footage.  There are a number of these on the internet.  Unfortunately my player doesn't give true time on showing these things.

Some observations:

The lion is a very beautiful trophy, long mane.  These are seldom available in the wild.  The combination of sport hunting the animals with genes for long mains and in hunting countries lions having to hide in thicker cover has greatly reduced the MGM lion look in Africa.  I strongly suspect the lion in his picture is very old and in a 'game farm'.  In a few shots you can see what looks like buildings and fence posts and power poles.  When the male lion stands against the individual he looks very thin and short.  The old gentleman appears to have been in the corner of the fensed pen, and has no place to go.  Remember that even an old animal gets mad when cornered.  I can't tell the speed of the 'charge' but that lion did not apppear to do any real damage, even though he hit the guy with his forepaws.  Lots of unarmed close spectators for the charge.  Interesting?

I am surprised that nobody got shot. When the lion charged, he was more or less surounded by people doing a lot of wild shooting, at least nobody got hurt, lucky.

It does look as though the lion was up against a fence, didn't notice any buildings.

Stupid people are like a slinky, they don't serve much purpose in the world but they sure are fun to watch tumble down the stairs!
