Tikka, I have been looking at the new Remington trigger. I don't have one just looking. It looks like the new external adjustment screw is in addition to the original adjustment. I have read reviews that people said if you back out the external adjustment far enough to get a 2 or 2 1/2 pound pull the screw sticks out of the trigger. If that makes sense? Overall, not real good reviews. Wing master |

My Remington 700 showed up today with the X-Mark pro trigger. I will snap some pictures of it tonight to show what Wing is talking about. I must say, it is a dang nice trigger! Crisp and light.

just took a m700 trigger apart tonight (not x-mark). too much Permatex/Lock-tite by others. Probably going to need a new trigger and thinking of just getting an x-mark?

I replaced two of the X-Mark with Timneys because the owners didn't like the creep and variation in pull weight. I have Timneys on mine, and they've been great triggers.
The reason for so many X-Mark triggers on GB is thanks to CNBC running the fairy tale story on how the 700 trigger is unsafe, and the X-Mark will cure all the problems. Edited by hoghunting |
