Worlds best in class scopes?

Since we were talkin' about NF scopes.

What do you guys consider to the the best scopes period.

i have quite a few of them ranging from a 3-9 compact, varix-2, vx-2, varix-3, and the 8.5-25x50 vx-3 lrt... overall, they are the best. i also have a mountain of experience w/ other scopes (lots w/ burris and zeiss, some swaro, some nf, and too much w/ low-end stuff).

glass quality is good. weight is outstanding. eye-relief and non-critical portion of the eye-relief are both outstanding. warranty is unbeatable (can be matched, but not beat). tracking is excellent. resolution is excellent. clarity is excellent. brightness is good.

nf is an excellent scope, but it really is a specialist's scope. it is too big, and entirely too heavy to go on hunting rifles, especially lightweight rifles.

if you want the best scope for, say, a varminting rig, i say your best choices are us optics or nf - but they are so cost-prohibitive to most, especially the uso.

There isn't anything wrong with the $39.95 scopes from WalMart, KMart, and any of the giant chain stores. My Simmons 6X "cheap Bastard model" scope will do all that your over priced Preppie scopes will do. So what if the lenses fall out or the reticles break? I am so good that I can clean them off and re-install them in seconds and my blue light special rifle is ready to go. The cross hairs can be touched up with shoe polish and reinstalled with a little practice. Try that with your "topper" scopes. They only fog a little, but it doesn't matter, I live in perpetual fog and I know what I am talking about.

Swarvoski have the best glass in all light.Leupold the best range and backup service.Nightforce are the best longrange scopes.

Depends on what you are doing but I would vote leupold for allround ability.

Even though i dont have much optics experience, leupold is the best that i have seen so far.

Kingpin, you had me worried there for a moment!

Leupold........#1 on warranty, there scopes are made to get the job done so that a hunter can depend of them in the changing conditions.

You can spend 4 times as much money for a better scope but you will NEVER get 4 times the better quality between them for the money spent.

LEUPOLD is the one to buy!

Since the subject is presumably rifle scopes - Leupold.  However, in spotting scopes, I have had limited experience with Swarovski.  I sat at the vendor's bench at the Casper Events Center, Casper Wyoming, & watched elk meander through a park up very near the top of Casper Mountain.   I could keep track of individual animals, at a distance that has to be measured in miles.  Somewhere around 8 to 9 miles.  Damn good glass.
