 Hey Folks

  Anyone have any insight into their powders,I use the  W760 with greay luck but are all their powders ball powder,is any of it extruded? Trying to find out what they use in their Supreme line of ammo.
God,Mother,Country,and Hot Rods. Done with political crap.LOL

Tikka, Winchester lists there Short mag factory data as being with WXR, not sure what it actually is, but sounds as if it may be an extreme/extruded powder.

Stupid people are like a slinky, they don't serve much purpose in the world but they sure are fun to watch tumble down the stairs!

Winchester powders 748, 760, old 785 and Magnum Rifle are all Ball powders. WXR is an extruded powder made in Sweden for Winchester. I have been playing with it a bit, and believe it to be slower than either 785 or the magnum rifle. I have burned a fair bit of 748 and 760 with no complaints whatsoever. Some claim that temperature sensitivity is a problem, but I have not found it to be any worse than the IMR series of powders. I like 748 in the 222, 223 and 30-30 Winchester, as well as 300 Savage with 150 grain bullets. 760 is versatile, and can be used in many cartridges including the 375 H&H Mag.  The Ball powders are a bit "dirtier" than theor extruded counterparts, but the fouling is not particularly difficult to remove with solvents available. WXR is working very well in my 270 with 140/150 grain bullets, FWIW. Regards, Eagleye.
