    I found an old Denver Redfield 3x9 just like new, it doesn't say what model on it so I'm guessing it's old enough to be right after Redfield bought the company from Killamoron (sp?). The body looks like a 5-Star or an Illuminater. This thing is scratch free and I really doubt if it's seen the woods more than once or twice,brite and clear. Redfields were one of my favorite scopes till they went overseas. So I'm stoked.

  Any body need a Simmons Master Pro 3x9.

Redfields used to top a lot of magnum 30's that were taken afield to hunt deer in the Ohio River Valley foothills where my family farm is.  5-Stars were the preferred model.  You'll be well served with one I suspect.

Fella's;

The subject seems to be older Redfields.  Tikka, if it doesn't say Illuminator, or 5 Star or some such on it, then it could well be a Bear Cub.  I have a Redfield Bear Cub fixed 6X with a European tapered post & crosshair reticle.  It's still a fine scope & I bought it new in 1962 or 63.  Still got the original box too.

I have two of those Redfields I bought new in 1967 and one in 1969 or 70. They never gave me one once of problem since I owned them. Not until I got a crazy idea to send them in to Redfields "Repair Shop" did I have any concerns. I just wanted them to rehab the scopes with new O-rings etc., they were still working fine on the rifles.

My experience with the so called Redfield Repair Station, was less than desirable to say the least. They wanted to buy my scopes and sell in exchange 2 of the newer Redfield scopes on the market. I said HELL NO!!! Mind you I sent in the money for the repair or referbish job but instead got a lot of BS about they could NOT find my rifle scopes.

On the advice of my attorney, I sent them a certified letter and over 6 month later they sent me back a reply saying they found the one scope and are still looking for the other scope. Now 2 weeks later, I got aother letter telling me the scope tube on the 4 x 12 scope was bent and they have no parts to fix the scope.

I in turn told them to return both of my scopes and my money sent to them. They sent me back my rifle scopes but I was out a total of close to $100 bucks. My advice is for all to stay clear of the Chinese company who is known as Redfield at time of my problem.
