Right about the time I got to the public land part of our area I saw this guy. He was 158 yards away.

It doesn't matter what you're hunting, If you see a coyote you're coyote hunting.

I hunted our main area a big part of the day and didn't see any antelope on public land just liike earlier.
I did see a bunch of these gals. Deer in this area is buck only.

Then I went to the Pumpkin Butte area.

I didn't see anything that I could shoot at down there either but I really like that area so that made it a great day.

I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.

MANY A DEER/BIRD hunt turned in to a coyote hunt.
I love to see dead coyotes, way better than seeing deer heads.....

I agree D. I might have saved a few baby deer and antelope.

He was a big one. Maybe that's why we don't see as many antelope as we did a few years ago?

I wish it was possible to get up to one of the buttes. They say theres a bunch of bowling ball sized sandstones around the base of some of the buttes.

I'll check it out. I've never seen them but I have heard there's like hundreds of them.
It might be worthwhile to go out there during the summer and knock on some ranchers door and ask for permission to go in and check them out.
