I bought Betsy a camera for her b-day. I tried to stich some photos into one, you can see the seams, need more practice I guess. The photos are huge though, it seems 600 wide is the max for a internet page. I always have a hard time getting the size right after editing. Looks dead out there now, can't wait till spring green up. Edited by Rob1 |

some programs, such as photoshop, allow you to pick a resolution. i try to do all of mine 800px wide, since that is pretty much standard. 640 is another one that is commonly used. if the pixel option isn't available, you need to play with percentages until you get a "feel" for it. i've noticed that if you do it by percentage and you don't like the result. it is better to undo what you did (ctrlZ) rather than resize it agai. it cuts down on the distortion. there are programs designed to do what you arttempted to do, but from what i can see, they don't work any better than the results you acheved, which is dang good considering you did it by hand. seams are sometimes unavoidable. |

I use "photoimpression" to edit. I can't really say I know what I'm doing, I just play around editing till it fits. That pic originally was something like 6500x2000, whatever those numbers mean. I clicked on a photo on a site that was large but fit in a web page and it was 600 wide so I edited it to that wide. I haven't played with the editing features that came with the camera yet. Tikka, the bridge was the American/Canadian border in the movie the untouchables, maybe why it looks familiar. The areas five minutes of fame. 70 million years or so ago this was spot was the middle of a volcano according to geologists.
