I'm looking for some forums that have paddling review of stitch and glue canoes.  I have found a few forums that cover constructing the canoes but not much on paddling.  I'm looking at building a Glen-l Rob Roy, or possibly one of a few other designs.  I want something no larger than 14 feet or so that is car toppable.  I have been paddling for a few years but have never gone on the internet to look for information.

Check out Pygmy Boats. www.pygmyboats.com They have, IMHO, the BEST
stitch and glue boats on the market.   I have one of their kayaks, the Arctic
Tern. We are looking at getting the three seater.

How comfortable is the seating?  One of the reasons I am leaning towards a canoe vs. a kayak is that the sit on tops that I have used aggravate an old back injury.  I own a Cobra Strike, which is a lot of fun in the surf.  The canoe I have been using is much more comfortable which is why I have been leaning that way.
