Do any of you shoot your bow in real cold weather.  I'm sure some must do it.   Do you do anything different?  Either in protecting the bow or string or arrows.  Is there a chance of messing up a nice wood bow in cold weather?  And since the cold will affect you as well, do you do anything different for yourself?   Just curious.

I last shot my 29# recurve about 4 weeks ago and have had a somewhat sore shoulder since then.  The weather was on the cold side that day, and I took a lot of shots.  It does feel a lot better now, and on a warm day I might practice a little again.  "A LITTLE" being the keywords.  Then I'll work myself back into it.   But I also wonder what the cold will do to the wood bow.  Should I be doing something to protect it?

Just some thoughts, while the cold weather is here.          Now lemme' go crawl under my warm blanket.

Somebody better call the Secret Service. Let 'em know there's an illegal alien in the White House...and it ain't the cook!!

If you are shooting a compound in the snow watch your cams. Snow will melt and refreeze in there then when you draw your in for a world of hurt when the string comes off. A trad bow has no problem. and get a fur quiver to keep your arrows warm.
