I received a winch for my Toyota 4x4 and it came with a pulley block. My winch is rated for 2000 pounds but with the pulley block it increases the rate to 3000 or more pounds. Does anyone have a diagram or an easy explanation as to hook up the pulley block if the time arises that i need it. I dont go into any crazy places when im backroading and my truck is light but add my camper to it then its heavier. I figured with a winch it will help me get game up the side of a hill like an elk or moose to the main road but theres also a chance that i may need it to pull me out.

If you can sue McDonalds for getting you fat then why can't you sue the alcohol companies for all the ugly people you ended up sleeping with?

I assume you got a 'snatch block'.  Which means you can pull the block pin out and attach it to the cable.

Simple double line means you go from the winch to the block, around the pulley back to the truck frame.  The hook on the block will have twice the force as the cable.  This means each cable is pulling with say 200#, so the total is 400#.  Remember  nothing is free; so you have shortened your cable length and it will take twice as long to pull with a double line.   You can attach a chain or heavy pull cable to the hook on the block REMEMBER; THAT SHOULD BE RATED TWICE YOUR RUNNING CABLE,  ie 5000#.

I thing that Warn or other light winch mfgs have web sites that might give you some graphics and safety tips.
