Here is an interesting link to a broadhead test page.  There is a list of broad heads at the bottom of the page.  You can look up your broadhead and see how it scores.

Geez, the only one on there I use is the Bear. I've killed a couple elk and some deer with those. I'm using Howard Hill's this season, and still have a collection of various designs of Zwicky. I must be shooting antiques!

I've shot about 5 on the list.  I've killed lots of deer with the Bear using the Razor inserts.  I've not had a razor break on a shot deer.  I use to use them with cedar shafts, and one had to be careful when gutting a deer as my long bow and the wood shafts seldom shot thru.  this meant that the 6 inch piece of shaft and the razor insert attached were in the chest cavity floating around.  So I looked for those carefully.  I always found the razor attached to the head, canted severely, but in one piece and attached.
