I have an Aetec variable that has a horrendous amount of parralax a 100. It seems to be set for about 50. Does anyone have experience with Simmons regarding this? I am wondering if they consider this as a problem or will they just say "it's within our spec's, so there's nothing we can do"? I will send them an e-mail, but I wanted to find out if anyone could enlighten me as to their attitude. Since it is supposed to be their high-dollar tube, I would think they would have no problem with setting it to a more reasonable distance, but then, I don't think it should have been like this to begin with. Hey Jeff. I'm assuming it does not have an adjustable objective. I doubt Simmons will give you an answer in an E-mail or on the phone, just say send it in and they'll look it over. It will only cost shipping and $10 for S&H for them, but may be worth a shot. If not, you can change it yourself but manually turning the objective lense inward. Just loosen the end outer ring by hand and use a small screw driver in the inner notch to turn it inward a little and tune it to where you want. Then tighten the outer and your good to go. I've done this on a few mainly for indoor airgun and set them down to 10 yards. The main downside is slight chance of letting air in past the seal or dinging or scrathing the finish if you slip. Or swap for a scope with A/O. -------------

Jeff, if I were you, I would call them and give them the first chance to make it right. Then I would do what BK said, and get one with an AO. If you decide to repair it yourself, it might be marked or wrecked so as to no longet be of any use to anyone.
