ha! you thought i got my 480, eh? no... not until tuesday, if i get to town on tuesday that is...

no, my brother told me he wanted a 1911... so we went to cabela's and found a mil-spec springfield. put the money down, cleared the check, and hit the door. got back to the farm and started working on the box of winchester fmj's... what a riot! really wish he had told me beforehand he was gonna do this. would've loved to put my colt alongside his springfield to go thru their paces side by side and draw some comparisons. oh well... will do that soon enough i suppose.

anyway, i liked his gun so much, that i am considering getting one, too... geeze, there's no end to my gun-wants... it doesn't help any that the 1911 is so damned addicting, regardless of platform!

i gotta believe that anybody who doesn't have a 1911, doesn't have one only because they've never shot one!  seriously though, i'm a huge fan of 1911's...
