I found some RL 26 here in town from a person on a different board.
So there is no freight or Hazmat.
$100 a pound
It's a new 8-pound jug.
$800 for the powder, dang that's a lot.
I don't think I can do that.
Hissy fitBoohooFrown

That's only a little over 600 shells.
$1.30 in powder in each shell.

D,
I have some RL 12 and RL 22,  at least the RL is right. But no RL 26.  Oh, how the prices have increased.  The RL 12 has a sticker price of $11.90 and a date of 1991.  It has only increased in price by 800% (if my math is correct)

Well I did some checking and I found out that special powders like RL26 are actually selling for around $65 to $75 a pound. I offered $75 a pound $600 for an unopened eight pound jug, but there is no Freight or hazmat, the guy lives here in town.
That's a big chunk of $$$ but, but what the he!! right?ClapHug

Yup local pick upThumbs Up
Now I can proceed with the "Hammer" bullet work up. We stopped in the event we could not find any before we ran out of currant loaded shells.
I'm going to do some 500 yard practice.
I will also check the exact speed to order the scope caps from Leopold. Big smile

Luckily I bought an 8# container of RL-26 not long before covid started. If I remember right it was somewhere around $230. I'm still working on it. I have enough to last a couple years if I shoot my Swede a lot.

I haven't seen any in stores in at least 2 years.
