OK. You all have been listening to me whine about this and that with my resent firearms purchase, sorry, I'm over that now. I got the steady stock in about a week and the installation was no where need as bad as all the YouTube make it out to be. All you need is a super magnet, I have two that I used to retrieve a steel snake cable from my drain stack, another story, and a long extension with a deep metric socket and it is a piece of cake. I put the magnets on the ratchet and extension to make them Magnetic, strong enough to hold all the components and put them on the stud, It also was strong enough to hold the 12oz recoil weight . There is a stud in side the hallow stock with a spacer two washers and a nut way down deep in side, off is easy on you have to have a super magnet. Anyway got the new stock on. I put the recoil suppresser in too it is just a 12 OZ piece of steel that threads on to said stud. If needed I'll make a dead mule with lead shot in it at a later point in time. I was not sure the size and shape of the but of the stock so I have yet to get a Limb saver but I will. I used the factory solid rubber one that looks and feels like a piece of tire tread. The camo one is the before, with my 870. The after with the floating case, a very tight fit with the P grip. I took it Crane hunting with me yesterday. I did not get to fire it at a crane but The boy and I shot it a some pop cans we found set out at 50 yards. I should have got a pic of the cans but you could only see what looked like ground worked over with a rototiller and some shiny specks in the dirt. With the new grip and added weight it seemed to recoil about the same as the 870 now with a LS pad it will be shootable, I believe. The Cremator choke tube is very tight, For duck I may have to open it up some with different tube, For long distance coyote and huge trumpeter swans it should be about right, with my goose loads of #2 XBB steel 1550 fps. Still need more field testing but so far very happy.
