assuming that the beginning caster has "decent" molds, what are some cheape "alternative" sources of casting equipment? surely it is much more complicated than just an old pot, a ladle and a campstove........or is it?

No, not really. For years we used the coleman stove, and an old cast iron fry pan to melt lead for our fishing weights. I havent gotten around to casting for my muzzleloader since I have a good supply of round balls that I got at an estate sale.

one way to get a cheap (so far) lead pot, is to go to Ebay, click search, go to "by Seller", and type in Waksupi. I have one on there at the time, along with more gun and Indian items. I'll be putting more stuff on the next couple days. Spring house cleaning.
