When you can't place bullet, where you want it five otta five times.

Of course what you're shooting and how often you shoot in wind comes in play. Anything over 20mph, requires wind meter and time to work out drift, beyond 300yds or so.

All the calculations in the world can not replace trigger time!!!!!!!!
I have killed many beer with a 80 to 90 gr bullet in 243/6mm's over 400 yards.
But you have to have a lota trigger time with the gun/bullet in windy conditions. If you feel you can't make the shot ,you can't...
Ethics have nothing to do with it!

I agree that a lot of practice is needed. Reading wind is the hardest part of long range shooting. Thats one reason I am looking for a faster load for my Swede. I think a slower bullet drifts more than a faster bullet but, accuracy trumps speed.

Tuff ? 4 a midwesterner.....where I hunt mostly it is dense forest type and long shots here can be only 100yds or so more often than not. So wind not such a big factor.  Let you plains folks chime in on wind.
