When you shoot varmints like gophers, PDs, and groundhogs  what do you do with the bodies?

Thinking that laws are being proposed to outlaw lead bullets because egales might eat those bodies and ingest lead.

Should we push bodies back down holes and kick some dirty overtop???

IF It's to much trouble I'll try to go and get  picture of the remains. That's about it, most the time they just turn in to coyote bait. Normally there is no "Lead" in the carcass It's scattered all over the prairie .

They've pretty much proved, lead wasn't as much of issue with eagles, they claimed. Like Jose Wales said, buzzard's gotta eat, same as worms. Over here Obama birds come in first and you just shoot them.

I still kick them in the hole. If the yote or other critter has to dig for it, that means it has to stay put a little longer and not just grab-n-go.

On the very best days of shooting prairie dogs, I stop shooting and sit on a ridge with a good friend and watch a whole bunch of big birds eat them.
