BEAR;

I always thought Diamondback was a model designation for a
Colt revolver. Knowing that .380 revolvers are scarcer
than hen's teeth, please elucidate on this item.

My choice for the category was a Ruger LCP .380. Maybe not
the very best choice, but perfectly adequate, particularly
considering the price when I bought it. Not all that much
more than your Diamondback & well under $300.00.

I've held one but not shot it. Seemed to be of simular quality of the rest
in that price range. Nice and thin. The testing I've done and seen from
others I know have me in the no .380 for carry camp.

I would look at the new Ruger LCP II, it's got a couple of worthwhile improvements. The one I've been looking at, for my daughter, is Walther PK380, few ounces heavier, slightly larger and is reported to be much easier to shoot.   The micro 380s can be a handful and their triggers are heavy long double action, much harder to shoot than airweight J frame.

My Dad won a Diamondback in 9mm at a Friends of the NRA
banquet. It would be about the perfect size for a carry
gun in my opinion. It does have a long heavy trigger
pull, but it isn't worse than a lot of striker fired
pistols.

He doesn't carry it but we did take it out and run a
couple hundred rounds through it and I don't remember
any fails to do anything. and it was reasonably accurate
at distances of 7 to 15 yards.

I kinda liked it.

If you consider a .380 might as well jump to a 9mm in one
like the Glock 43.
