I want to take this time to thank all the people who took the time to say a prayer(s) for me insuring my up coming surgery was successful. I am happy to say that your prayers worked.

The operation was a success and I was released from the Hospital yesterday afternoon. I was going to thank you all yesterday, but I was chock full of pain meds. You all know what that means, all I could do was sit, and slobber all over myself.

The operation was quite a deal, the surgeon had to fix a cracked vertabrae, remove a bone spur, and clear any obstruction around my spinal cord. This is the amazing part, he did all this by going through the Front of My Neck. Thats right peeps, he slit my neck open because that was the only way he could get to the problem areas.

I'm not allowed to do anything but go to the toilet for a week, that means Jennie has to wait on me hand and foot. Almost makes the accident worth while LOL, after that, for the next three weeks I'm allowed to do menial tasks, but not to over exert myself, Then After the three weeks are over I have to do a follow up with the surgeon and we'll see what happens.
The hospital staff was great, they couldnt do enough for us (Jennie slept on the couch in the room, she didnt want to leave me)

As usual, I tormented the staff, If any of you know my sense of humor you know what I mean. One of the Nurses I Had bore a striking resemblense to my niece Lise Lyn, and I had a CNA named Michael that was very nieve, They wanted me to "evacuate" (dont you just love those medical terms?) the fluids in my bladder every hour or so, michael brought me one of those hand held urinals, you know, the plastic bottle with a neck and lid. he said he wanted me to use it as many times as I could, he said here, I'll put it on the table for you (the table they put your water and food on). I told him that wasnt going to work cause I didnt think I could reach it! At that the nurse busted out laughing and Michael said oh sure you can all you have to do is lean over and

then it hit him! he got so embarrassed he didnt know what to say. We all had a good laugh, and thats my sense of humor, I kept it up through all three shifts, every one told me it was a pleasure to have me in their section.

OK i've gone on long enough, Once again I want to thank you all for your prayers and may GOD BLESS!

Varmint;

Glad you are recovering & they didn't cut the sense of
humor out in the operation.

If that's your sense of humor, did you ask 'em if sex was
included in the menial tasks?

Good news, about the surgery going well.

When I was in getting my back done and during rehab., it always seemed like the guys, that had their neck done, had it rougher, hang in there and tough out the rehab.

I got one you can use, if you want. People, you don't even know, will tell you "What don't kill you, will make you tougher" Ask them, "How much tougher, do I need to be?"
