My wife is visiting her relatives in Texas this week so I
am on my own to cook. After a couple beers I thought everything is better when you smoke it. So, I dug around in the refrigerator and found some hot dogs. They are on the smoker now, and I will get back in an hour or so and let you know how they taste.  ------------- I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on. |

Well, After a couple more beers and adding some relish
and a little mustard I gotta say they were really not that great. If I ever try something like this again I will add some cheese and wrap them in bacon. I have learned a couple things from this little experiment, Theirs nothing a guy can do to a hot dog that will take away the fact that hot dogs are made of lips and assholes. and not everything is better smoked. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate them about a 3. I hope Max Bacus didn't smell the smoke, but if he did I can truthfully say It won't happen again. P.S. Don't tell 900f I was drinking Coors Light. he would be disappointed. And now, Back to your regularly scheduled program. Bravo Wing....yer a brave man to eat "hot dogs" from a store...lips and assholes for sure and floor sweepings too! Smart move tho to flood yer body and gullet with a anti-biotic concoction like Coors Lite!

All beef natural casings over eal charcoal. they 'snap' when you bite them. Pennsylvania just legalized Mary Jane and you said "...everything is better when you smoke it." that had me starting to question the rest of the post?

If you substitute in Blatz Lite and bread for buns, that's what I lived on
in college. Sometimes the good old days weren't so good... It does cover the three major food groups: animal, mineral, and vegetable. DD ------------- Endeavor to persevere. |

I might try some Brats next time. I'm kinda soured on
Hot dogs. Blatz? I didn't know they still made that stuff. I never went to college, but I worked my way through high school drinking Old Milwaukee and Milwaukies best. I found the Mac N Cheese in the pantry. I will have to replace it before my granddaughter finds out I ate it. I think I will leave the MJ to the hippies. I'm goofy enough as it is. Just to let you guys know, my twin just-turned-3 grand daughters are of the opinion, and a strongly held opinion it is too, that ketchup is it's own food group. I have partaken of Coors Lite in the past. It's good sit in the boat all day and pound 'em down beer - since it's near water anyway. If you properly regard it as a water variant, then you also regard it as very expensive water. I agree Coors Light is no Snake River Lager, but it doesn't

I have to admit that I didn't live just on hot dogs and Mac n cheese
alone. .99 cent Totino's party pizzas were also a crowd favorite. The tiny cubed pieces of mystery meat were always a good conversation starter. And Blatz. Copied from a beer forum. 2.99/5 rDev +16.8% look: 2 | smell: 3 | taste: 3.25 | feel: 3 | overall: 2.75 12 ounce can Served in a pilsner glass A - It is light straw colored with plenty of carbonation rising from the laser etchings in the bottom of the glass. It is capped with about three inches of white head. S - The aroma is sweet grain and lemon grass. T - I used to think this beer tasted like shit. Now I find it lacking in flavor. It has slightly more taste than a Bud. It almost reminds me of a PBR. M - Thin O - This is a cheap beer with little taste. My grandson, adams kid, has been eating Yellow Mustard
(french"s preferred) on everything since he was 2. We use to take bottle to restaurants. some of his 2 years old preferences were: Broccoli with mustard, green beans with mustard, and Brussel sprouts with mustard. Kid eats his greens....and yellows. our twin set, just made it to 2.5 they might even be allowed to live long enough to make it to 3. A happy family of 4 kids, on van. |

BLATZ the Beer that made Milwaukee Famous! Lived with that jingle in the early tv ad years. When I was a kid......

back in the day when any of our group went WEST of the Mississippi there was always a request to bring back COORS! toured the Coors brewery at Golden many years back...neat. don't know that the beer was so great as was the lure of not being able to get it here.
