Huh! I think there's a few ZL-1 Camaro guys who think that one of their's went 200 before the mopar did. Something about a set a 2.89's in the banjo housing and that ZL-1 up front.

Those were altered. The Daytona was not. Other then glass removed and a scatter shield added for safety, it was factory original. Lots of cars were heavily modified years before and easily achieved the 200 mph barrier. It was the first production car to do it.
