I've got my pump gun set up for slugs, I/C choke tube and a scope, sighted for 75 yards. If I spin the I/C tube out and put a turkey choke in, how well will a 3" load of 7 1/2 shot track at 35-40 yards? Close enough or do I need to pattern it and adjust the scope?
Thanks, 788Fan

I have a 12 ga pump with a red dot that I use in New York for deer with Sluggers, it shoots good. I also use the same gun and red dot with 2 3/4 #7 1/2 shot for turkeys in the spring. I use to check the pattern with the bird shot, but it always was right at the red dot. My pump has a poly choke and I use it on cylinder bore for slugs and modified for turkeys. Hope this is of some use to you.

I assume your turkey choke is extra full?
If so 30"-35" pattern. Doesn't matter what the shot size smaller just
gives better density.
Full choke 40-45"
I/C. 60"+

While it most likely will be OK, I would shoot it to confirm.
