Just wanted to say howdy to everyone and I am looking forward to getting to know the group here!

My name is Marty and I enjoy all hunting but deer and pheasants are what peak my interest. Fished all my life but the last few years I find myself wetting my line less often as life gets busier, I really need to make a point of taking more time from responsibilities to fish more often... I reload for both rifles and shotguns, and looking to tackle handgun loads in the near future. Another hobby/obsession of mine is outdoor cooking in general, enjoy making sausage, bacon, smoking and grilling... and am looking to learn more and get some experience with cast iron cooking in the near future. In my off time in between hobbies I am a motor grader operator, I don't really enjoy it, but my wife keeps telling me it is a necessary part of life... any how glad to be here and looking forward participating in the forum.

hey, marty - good to see you here!

guys, we're fortunate have this new member, in my opinion - he's a hunter, an angler and a reloader - and he also provides some great products in the realm of barbecue and smoking meats. i'm a loyal and happy customer, and proud to call him a friend. if anyone has any questions, please ask him and you will get some great advice.

as a bonus, he's from north dakota, not too far from where my dad was born and rasied -so that makes him "good people" in my book, right there ~

Mossy;

Welcome to the site!  My son-in-law is from N. Dakota, an' my daughter tells me I ain't allowed to get fussy about it neither, so I guess the same holds true fer you.

Now then, on to the important stuff!  As a member of BSB you are automatically qualified to attend a MYGAWDS* function, the next one being the end of April 2014.  The event concerns itself with many things:  The ability to tell outrageous lies with a straight face.  The ability to prove your .22lr is as accurate as you think it is.  The ability to face weird and highly changeable weather conditions without whining - much (depends on how well you packed).  The ability to locate and transport at least 1000 rounds of the .22 ammo your gun likes best.  The ability to develop a taste for "crick water", aka Knob Creek (that one's pretty important).

And don't look for Taz to supply information about this here event neither.  He ain't never made one.

Welcome Marty.

MYGAWDS (aka Gopher Blast) also lets you meet some of the most pathetic liars in the country.

Methinks I'm just gonna go get a cold one, sit on the sidelines & watch this one play out.

Speaking of which, it was nice to see the Griz go to Bozeman & take care of business this afternoon.  U. of Montana 28, that Ag school 14.
