The weather man said their was a snow storm coming, so I thought westerday would be a good time to get out before it got here.

We didn't get there til late but we did get 1 bird and Heidi found 1 more that I didn't get a shot at.

Late season Pheasants can be great fun. We almost never hunt them any more,opting for sharpie and geese...Nice to see some pictures. Thanks.

Late season birds are a little harder to hunt. I am sure their were some that ran ahead of us and we never saw them. the ones we did see flushed almost before Heidi could go on point.

They are a lot of fun.

Wm,

Are these ringnecks or the 'newer' introduced phesants that are more adaptable to a variety of habitats? More grouse-like in their habits.

Wing;

First picture, behind Heidi & above her, above that golden grass that's got the sun on it.  That sure is an interesting bit of wood.

Sam, Just plain ol' Ringnecks. Their are not too many birds in this area. Their are a few wild birds around The Big Horn Mountains. Most are planted by the Game and Fish.

900f, I guess you are talking about the dark spot? Kinda looks like a pig or something. I don't remember seeing anything out of the ordinary that day.
