DOUBLE TAP

If this came in anything except 45, I'd have one.  a 9mm/38/357 would be fine.  Maybe the new 32 mags?

recoil in a 12 ounce 3 inch barrel 45 would be wicked with small grips.

thoughts?

Bear;

Better go back & read that link you posted again.  I saw there that it indeed does come in 9mm.

only as an accesory barrel.  So I'd have to buy the 45 then an extra barrel...then have to use the 45 barrel as a doorstop???

They probably will some day.

Bear, I'd have to agree with 900F.  As I read it, you have your choice for the original purchase then the other caliber as an after thought.  788

I read it about 10 times.  I did find that they are just now making it in 9mm with the Ti frame.  they are accepting orders for later shipment.  So I just emailed them.

All the review look good.

Here's a better look.

Pretty small and simple carry gun. High enough price to keep it out of the 'hood. Don't see any ejector though. RD

it says in ad from above link..Ambidextrous Thumb Latch to Eject Rounds...must have ejector based on this statement in ad....

edit:  maybe that could be read as.......the thumb latch opens the gun and then you have to figure out HOW to eject the M-T's...got a pen handy?

I like that. I would like to feel the "double action" trigger pull.

I could see that in an inside the waistband holster. Looks like a great carry gun.

It has an auto eject, not sure if it is selective eject.  There are two rounds in a compartment in the grip bottom, with two rounds in a special 2 round speed loaded.

I'd like the 9mm without the porting.  this is a CCW so porting not needed except to "stun" me and they!!!

Pretty fast response from  Double Tap.

9mm presently not availabe in a pistol, only the extra barrel to add to the 45.

BUT wull be availabe by Mat they say.  so figure a few months to get to distributors.

so no show and tell on this....unless at the GF gun show

In my humble opinion, if I were buying a new handgun, it would HAVE to be a S&W 4" model 19. That's just me, I'm not putting the one in question down. After all, a man can't POSSIBLY have enough .357's.................................................Kingp in

got an S&W 4"  357 model 19 Combat Magnum.    my favorite revolver.  wish I'd have bought the Combat Masterpiece to; but let my bro' buy it in 4" (burglar stole it from his house).

Bear;

I've got a Ruger LCP in .380 & it's got some fairly nasty recoil.  I can't imagine what a full sized 9mm in a smaller gun will be like, but I know it ain't a-gunna be pleasant.  Is the new Kimber Solo 9mm too big?

Hey Kingpin

This is one of my favorites. A 4 inch model 19. Target trigger, Hammer, And Grips.

The only one I think I like more, might be my 5 inch model 27-2.

solo is a great little gun, and has lots of firepower.  but the double tap is thinner and smaller.  and unique?

My son got a 1908 colt 25 acp.  lots od machined steel and a backstrap safety.  small package, but dense.  shoots very good.

If I get one do I need to carry a purse?

Bear;

Anymore, that's strictly a personal decision, so it's up to you.

I plan on carrying a "man purse" at MYGAWDS. It holds a couple
thousand rounds of .22's but I suppose it could carry 15-20 maxi-pads
and a tube of lip gloss if it had to?
