Earlier today I had to go to the NAPA store just down the block from our shop. On the way back, I stopped in at the pawn store between the two of the shops. While in there, I saw a model 39 Marlin on the rack, & asked to look at it. It was marked $179.00 & in 90% shape. I was about to tell the man "Sold American" when I looked down at the counter & saw the flier that said that everything in the store was 25% off, June sale. Therefore, I asked if that applied to the guns. And was informed it did. I just got back to our store with my new-to-me model 39 Marlin Mountie, for $134.25! A flippin' Mountie!! Needless to say, they didn't have a clue as to what they really had. It's a 1973 manufacture, and it does need some TLC, which I'll be supplying.
