Parachute cord is .05 cents a foot.

Parachute chord is commonly referred to as "550 chord," because as suspension line, it can hold 550 pounds. I am not sure how many risers are on a parachute, but the count is over 20. Times that by 550 and you'll see the safety factor for a 200 pound man..............Kingpin
