Sausage & Rice Casserole

(serves 12-16)

3 pkgs Lipton chicken noodle soup
9 cups water
2 cups rice
1 lb sausage
2 green peppers
1 stalk celery
2 large onions
1 cup almonds (cut or sliced)
2 cans cream of mushroom soup

Combine dry soup mix with water and boil for 7 minutes. Reduce heat, add rice; cook covered until tender.

Brown sausage; drain. Add sausage and 1 tbsp of drippings to rice. Add green peppers, celery, onion, almonds and cream of mushroom soup.

Bake covered at 350 for 30 minutes; remove foil and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes.
