Man we were at Tiber on Saturday and absolutely SLAYED the Walleye. On the north side, west of the Willow creek arm across from an island. I saved that way point. In Less then 4 hours the three of us netted over 120 fish. Tossing white jigs and crawlers. We had the boat anchored in 20' of water an we would throw the jigs on the bank then drag them in to the water and slowly pull them on the bottom buy the time it despaired in around 4' of water we would have a fish on. The walleye were an averaged of 14" long but a kick to catch!!!

Sounds like I should bring a spinning rod to Mt ??

I think those walleyes would hit a white jig if it was swimming to shore.  What time of day/night were you fishing????

If you com defiantly bring the spinning rod.

Jigs are always more affective when they look like there trying to get away. And yes Lake Elwel is the impoundment of Tiber DAM. Most of us locals call it just "TIBER"

I used to hunt MD near bootlegger on south side, lots of lopes there also, hard to get drawn though.  I may have to get a couple tags and drag lil boat over there.  Where jigs bare or tipped with minnow or worm?  I also used to hunt north of highway up near the line, Charlie Lights place, lots of both MD & WT.

For those that haven't been there, there's a nice VFW campground at dam, south of Chester, you can launch from there or run up south side road and launch at south bootlegger.  Tiber's a long narrow lake and wind does blow there "sometimes".

Duh,

I missed the crawler somehow first time, only saw white jig, I guess I was thinking white Mr twister, as that's what we used years ago, last time I went.
