everyone please take note!

i have added three new forums:

• military, veterans and law enforcement
• conservation and ethics
• joke of the day

please take note and make your posts accordingly in the correct forums. this will take some of the pressure off the roll call forum.

i am willing to take suggestions on one more forum, which will give us an even 25 forums. i've got a couple of ideas in mind, but would like to know waht y'all are interested in. please reply below.

i've received a few private suggestions; among them:

• knives
• improvements, hi-precision and stockwork (sorta like advanced gunsmithing; "basic" gunsmithing could be cvered in rifles, handguns etc)
• split "hunting" into "north america" and "rest of the world"
• separate muzzleloaders and blackpowder cartridges
• bring back the "local interest" by state and/or country
• photography, taxidermy and BSB trophy room (photo gallery)
• wildcats hi-precision and competition shooting (advanced handloading?)
• military history and arms
• books and videos
• product reviews
• photography methods
• flora and fauna
• non-sportsmans' sports (football, abseball, hockey, NASCAR etc)
• personal fitness and/or disabled hunters
• and, my personal favorite, GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS

some of these have been tried before, back when BSB was much smaller. now, with over 600 members and good growth, perhaps it is time to bring one or more of these back?

i'll leave it open to discussion, then perhaps choose a selection of these topics (or any others that are brought up) and put a poll out.

this is YOUR forum, guys. i welcome ideas and participation!

If you really have to add one.  The TG suggestion of "Gunsmithing tips" could be valuable.  We could also tap some of the older more tech threads an put them in as starters????

gene - i've been wanting to put that one back in since i took it down. i didn't like the idea of getting rid of it, but at the time it just didn't seem like we had the traffic to support it. with this situation here in our hometown, i decided the hell with it and brought the forum back, traffic or not.

those guys and gals deserve it.

bear - of all the suggestions, some sort of gunsmithing probably makes the most sense.

but, as you know, its been tried here before, and never seems to take off. either that or the topics there and in the RIFLES section cross over too much.

i would LOVE to bring the gunsmithing back - any ideas or suggestions on how to keep it separate from rifles?

I'd just run it up the flag pole and see if it flies.  We can always drop it?

On the old shooters board, "gunsmithing" was one of the MOST popular forums.

Actually as I indicated, personally we have pretty good level the way we are.  Any new Topic will dilute the post on the rest of the board somewhat.
