On-line licensing workshop for hunters held March 30 at Glasgow Library
Hunters interested in applying for special license and big-game drawings - including most opportunities to hunt elk in the Missouri River Breaks - can now apply over the internet and receive instant confirmation that the application is complete and accepted. A workshop for hunters interested in learning more will be held Thursday, March 30 at 7 p.m. in Glasgow at the Glasgow-Valley County Library on 3rd Avenue South. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks information officer Andrew McKean will demonstrate how to use the internet to apply for special moose, sheep and goat drawings as well as special deer, elk and antelope permits and FWP’s new SuperTag raffle. McKean will also lead a tour of the FWP website and how to use it to plan hunting and fishing trips, get detailed information on big-game regulations, harvest statistics and species’ distribution and read news about the state’s fish, wildlife and state parks resources. The deadline to apply for moose, sheep and goat permits is May 1. The application deadline for special deer, antelope and elk permits is June 1.
