for the summer, I'll be a right hand only guy for 6 weeks, then a left hand only guy for 6-8 weeks...that is the whole summer.

Any thoughts on techniques for  fishing one handed would be appreciated?????

Hire one of the local boys (8- 10 years) old to come along
and help you. Give them $5 and a day of fishing. You will
have some help, introduce a kid to fishing and be a god in
the kids eyes. Appears like a winning solution to me.

Basically a high tech cane pole but if you anchor the butt above your belt and play the fish along the bank or length of the boat you can horse in some pretty big panfish. RD

I used the electric wind Penn for deep salt water 300 ft down 100#+ fish.

not much fun, just troll, when the rod dips, hit the switch and up it comes,  sort of like operating and elevator.
