I do KP on a regular basis and have time to let my mind "multitask" while my hands are in the sink. Wifie says my "multitasking thoughts" are bouts with extensive daydreaming epsiodes. I know she is wrong. Because usually when I wake up/come back the dishes are done and I have a smile on my face.

I've discovered the 'MAGIC ERASER" material and have been satisfied with how it performs. In one of my more lucid moments of multitasking I remembered distant discussions about microscopic fissures/cracks in the metal surface in rifle bores. I have used the felt pellets that Brownell's sells for cleaning bores and like them. I wondered if a pellet were made out of the "MAGIC ERASER" material it might do a superb job of removing 'anything' on the bore surface and down in the microscopic 'cracks'. Realizing that some cracks will be smaller then others. Hmmmmm.....?? Sorry, I started off on another tangent with that one. If it were compatable with some of the usual bore cleaners it might be something 'new' that has a place in our cleaning kit box.

It is a plastic 'hooked' fiber material and shouldnt scratch a steel surface while wearing away at carbon, copper and lead.

Am I a bit late with this idea?

Be careful what you decide to not like. Your wife may wear one. Your son may ride one. Your daughter may bring one home. You may have to have one someday.
