Funny story.
I have written how inept our only factory certified brigs and Straiten shop is. The thirds try, I convinced our boat guys in Utah to send them the right regulator, They got it repaired. My boy was watching the prosses and had to remind them to do some stuff they " Forgot" to do. Like tighten up some ignition wires, and alike. Had to have them readjust the mounting bolt on the transom. What a bunch of dweebs. Anyway they tested it and it was running at the factory specs of 14.5 volts at the proper RPMs. We should be good to go. HOPE! The river is open in spots and the forecast is for 65* on Saturday. Maybe with a little persuasion we can make the ice relinquish it's grip on a boat ramp. The cat fish could be running up from Fort peck, there wintering waters. AND of course we would HAVE to try call some coyotes. ![]() |

Milk would be all froze up yet.
The Missouri will be open under the dams for 5 or 10 miles or more I hope.

I Will if we can get down river that far. I'm going out to look on Thursday. Calling for 59* and only 8 MPH wind. I'll stop in to Carter Ferry to see if Ice is off the ramp. If it is Then Fort Benton. If that looks good On to Loma and the woods bottom ramp. If I go that far I'll cut across to Virgil/ coal banks landing Just because I'm almost there. I'll take a few snap shots and let you know. ![]() Edited by d4570 - 03 March 2021 at 07:48 |

Ever if frozen up, that will be a nice ride. Loma is where the Marisa comes in. always think of our boys Lewis and Clark. They went way up the Marias thinking it might be the main river and get them to Pacific. Nice history out that way.
enjoy...................pic are always nice.
