I've only got one Luepold and it's new.

Have any of you had to use their warranty service?

If so, how is it, and how did you get treated?

I've never has warrenty service as good as Leupold.  I had a problem with a rifle, and thought it was a scope problem.  I sent it to them no questions asked.  Within a week, I received a postcard in the mail stating that the scope was received, how long it will take to service, and an estimated time of return.  I received my scope one week later with a printout of repairs (didn't need any) and quality control tests.  The only thing I paid was $5 to Fed Ex my scope to them.  WONDERFUL SERVICE!!!
Y'all shoot straight!!!

North Logan,

Man I must be getting old, I forgot you posted that, and it wasn't all that long ago.

Having that weaver go bad on me, and it's the third scope to do so in 25 years, I've about had it.  I'm now a leupold convert, now I'll have to start replacing at least this junked weaver before next Dec.  Anything I buy from now on will be a Leupold.  I bought one for my Lever gun, and am really pleased with it.

I'm waiting for their new parrallex (sp) side adj. to come out, but man there are some good deals out there right now.  I'm trying to pay off my wife's car, then kill off the student loans so I can work on saving for a new truck.  So we're shoe string'n it for a while.  Which of course kills me when I see deals come up.

Thanks for jaring my memory.

Hi Spot - I'm starting to come around on Leupold's too, especially since my experience with the warranty depot here in Canada. Ours is located in Alberta, the province right next to B.C. I wouldn't hesitate buying a used Leupold again and then sending it in for servicing, if necessary.

I just picked up another matte VX-II 3-9x40mm, NIB, from a dealer, also in Alberta. Maybe gonna hold onto it until the 7mm WSM rifle comes along...

Regards, Marcus.
