to all -

I've created a new forum at BSB, titled BSBlogs. the intent of this forum is for members to set up a diary for hunting, fishing, loading, travel or any other purpose that they want (wedding preparations, military deployments, raising kids, it's up to you). each topic that is opened will be a separate diary where members can record their experiences, lessons learned etc.

members are free to create as many diaries as they need and are encouraged to keep them separate (e.g., keep the 2007 antelope season separate from other years or other species hunted) and keep them complete (scouting, preparations, equipment, the hunt itself etc.).

Everyone is free to read the BSBlogs, but please keep in mind that it is set up for the use of the individual member. please do not reply on a diary unless the member authorizes replies in his opening post. if you want to discuss something with the member, send a PM or open up a topic in the appropriate forum (big game, fishing etc.). be advised that unauthorized replies MIGHT be deleted.

to create a BSBlog, simply open up a new topic in the BSBlog forum. for the sake of consistency, the title of the topic/diary should include:

  • the username
  • the year/season
  • the activity
for example, if i were to create a diary for fishing next year, it would read:

Tasunkawitko's 2008 Fishing Diary

or for antelope season this year:

TasunkaWitko's 2007 Pronghorn Diary

or perhaps our summer vacation:

TasunkaWitko's 2010 Tour of Florida

you get the idea.

if the word "diary" doesn't fit, then don't worry about it.

Bloggers should set out in the opening post what their diary is all about and should also specify whether or not replies would be welcome.

any questions, please reply to the guidelines thread thread or send a PM. this forum might take a little bit of tweaking, but in the end i think it will really be something useful for members.

please note that i have created two new forums. we will run these up the flagpole and see how they go.....

the first is a home/lawn/garden DIY forum - the second is a sports forum.

i am also considering these:

  • a health and fitness forum, which in my opinion would be valuable to probably 98% of us!
  • a taxidermy and trophy room forum.
  • a photo album, picture hosting and photography forum

feedback is always welcome - if you have any questions or perhaps suggestions for another forum or two, let me know.
