About what I have been finding.
I got the 200 gr Hammers when the mud freezes up after the last of the deer seasons I'll put the new Leopold on and do some testing.( at *3 a shot )

A good well written article, I enjoy that type of article.  I notice he recommended the Norma Vulcan bullet.  That is what I use in my 8x57, very accurate and at least 2 black bears 'loved it to death'.

The Euro 8 mm mag is the 8x68 S.  It is made to fit a standard length action and is rimless.  When it was designed it was made thick to take higher pressures than standard '06 cases.  You could hot rod it plenty today.

Great round, I shot one for deer in the 1960s.  tough to reload as in those days they were berdan primed.
Now you can get them in boxer primer.
