That's PELOSI!

You can't possibly believe that, having 1911s for so long.  Unless, of course, you're one of the few "leather deprived" and extremely bony of build.

Ever seen a 3" 1911 with a bobtail grip?  Thinner than most 9s and just about every 6 shot revolver.  That's the extreme, but even a 5" GM can easily be concealed with the right IWB holster and attire.

Bear, if you are talking about the standard 5" models I would agree with you in most instances but the newer 3" models are pretty easy to conceal.

Bear, I'm Six Feet Tall, I weigh 245 pounds, was at the Doctors this morning, so that's accurate, for annual check up. The only time anyone knows I have my 1911A1 on me is when I uncover it, or have it on my Duty Belt at work. It is the full size from Springfield Armory.  Concealed it is off side, inside the waist. Not the fastest draw, but as fast as it neads to be.

I find it very easy to use the Mexican carry method with this pistol. The slim design seems to disappear into a pair of jeans.

I have a 5" 1911 and I carried it for two hours today, while hiking in a local forest.   I guarantee you,  you would NOT know I was carrying.

Now I'll admit it helps that I'm wearing extra clothing because of the cold weather.  But I'm not wearing much extra.    Maybe a loose fitting jacket, or a lightweight sweater.

Some people hate it, some love it.  I'm among those who love this little pistol.   The 1911 is one of the best ever!

Somebody better call the Secret Service. Let 'em know there's an illegal alien in the White House...and it ain't the cook!!

Sorry, but I had to call "Pelosi" on Bear's assertion.  I wear mine all summer long IWB with a pair of cutoff jeans and a tee shirt.  I use a wife beater underneath to keep sweat off the grip.  The only time I don't have it on is when I'm in my Speedos.

Mule your usual lack of knowledge is showing.  Quit hanging out with the vision impaired.  If you carry a 19111, anyone that wants to know if you are packing will know.

Maybe if you put a 1911 in your Speedos the girls would find you more interesting.Wink

As May West said...."Is that a 1911 in your pocket or are glad to see me?"Confused

A jock is preferable with a 1911 in a speedo, I'm sure.

Garter belts make good holster platforms.  With the right slip and skirt, you can make a combat commander disappear fairly well, I'm sure.  Be sure not to shave beneath the garter area to brevent chaffing while dancing to show tunes.

I'm not saying I have worn such a concealment garment, but it certainly gets one thinking about female anatomy and that's always a good thing.Wink
