Does it have a hole in the floor for ice fishing The four wheel drive makes that van a whole different vehicle. Beats a truck with a topper any day.

Also bigger then any suv.  No hole for ice fishing, but pulls my house w/crank up wheels just fine.

That is one sweet looking van, wildbill. I have been a fan of 4x4 vans for a long time. I keep wanting to get a new one, but the price scares me off everytime.

Right now I drive a 1978 E250 4x4, it still runs, looks great, and is basically troublefree. It is also paid for, so why rock the boat.

Here is my 4x4 van. One nice addition is a propane catalytic heater a little ways behind the drivers seat. The exhaust can be seen. It keeps me from having to start up the van to get warm if needed.

I will probably keep this one till the wheels fall off.

Very nice lookin van for as old as it is Bob.  4X4 vans are very expensive.  I hope mine runs as long as yours.

The first van I had was a 79 Ford ½ ton cargo van with a 300 6 cylinder my parents bought new.  It wasn’t 4 wheel drive, but that didn’t stop me and my friends in our teen years from taking it places it should have never been in when we were out hunting.  If my parents new what we were putting that van through they would never let us take it.  Drove it til the early 90's when the engine blow.  Sold it to a friend for $100.  He got to lookin underneath and from all of the mudding and puddle jumping I did, he pulled a rock a bit bigger then a football out from between the engine and frame.  I haven’t done any real mudding with my new van yet, but it sure would be fun.

Bill, I like the idea of the 4x4 van and was wondering if you can tell me some things to look for and watch out for when purchasing one. I have been looking at a Quigley in GMC with the IFS. The family has outgrown the GMC AWD Safari. That and its a 1994, I guess its time to update the thing. Thanks, Rob.
