Hawthorn trees, apple trees, and roses are all in the same family go figure. My neighbor has a 30 year old tree that started to makes "Haws" about 5 years ago. It produces them by the thousands what a mess. Last year I found a respite for jelly from them. there is not a lot of juice in a haw it like 1 1/2 pound of them to make a cup of raw juice.

I find if you freeze them for a week or so before cooking them down you can get a little more.
The first year I did it I added pecten and ended up with Hawthorn gummies. I find out this year they pack there own pecten so I went with out any.
It looks good so far. your not supposed to move the jars after you cool them to let the magic happen I'll check one in a week or so and see how well it worked.
It has a very unique taste.

	Sounds good D. Their isn't many things that compare to home made jelly.
