Hey guys, do you know anything about this scope? Is it better than a VX-2 because it is right in the same price range. I guess it has a 30mm tube instead of 1". What do you guys think.

NH - For the "same money" I'd never take a Tasco scope over a Leupold. Don't think you'll find anyone here who would. I've used Tasco scopes with success in the past. Even still have two of them, Tasco World Class Plus 3-9x44mm's. Here they are on a pair of .30-06's I have:

For their money not bad scopes. But where I'm at, for a few bucks more, I can get a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40mm scope, and there's just no comparison there either. Tasco is now owned by Bushnell. They will warranty any newly purchased Tasco's under their name. Owners of older Tasco's [like mine in the pic] above will be outta luck if they break down.

Given the choice between the Tasco Titan and the Leupold VariX-II, I'd go with the Leupold.

Regards, Marcus.

Now, NH... how are you going to be successful at becoming a true "elitist" if you start buying Tasco's to put on your well-rounded but strictly non-Savage rifle collection?

I was just wondering if they were any good because i saw them on www.gunbroker.com. I would never buy a tasco. The thought of it!  I almost bought a Bushnell Elite 3200 2-7, but i didnt have the money at the time. I also cant use most scopes out there except leupold because they dont have enough eye relief. I shoot my guns differently so i am farther back on the stock than most. NIkons have way too little. As do most Simmons, and the one tasco that i own that i was going to put on my paintball gun.
