Sunup, Easter morning. 45* wind south, southwest, 15 mph.
We set up with the wind almost straight in our faces, slightly to the left of the target board.
Testing 338 Federal, 6mm ARC, 22 mag, 30/06/and a 243, zeroing 8mm Rem Mag. The 8 was zeroed but just checking for bear season.
After a few 338s we confirmed the load and worked on the zero at 100 yards. Laying down on a mat shooting off sandbags it took only 6 shots to get 3 in the same hole dead center.Dancing :dancing:
The 6mm ARC looks like it will eat anything and shoot out standing, bug holes with all the different tests. 22 mag still shoots, not super but very well. 30 06 shoots ok still needs some work. The 243 is like the ARC. I set the zero at 1.5 Inches high at 100. We put a 5x5 gong at 300 yards, did you know you can't see a 5x5 gray piece of iron hanging on black rubber strips with your backed eye at 300 yards?
Scope on 14 is not a problem. I put 3 within an inch of each other. It shot dead center 4" down on the gong. Dang nice, definitely a dead bear. The 338 Fed actually shot the same place, perfect on that too.
We brought the gong into 18 yards and took revenge on it with the 380 and 10mm. 54 feet, ANY on causing issues in my house uninvited will be laying in a big pool of blood. I can't say the 10 is a pleasure to shoot but it shoots great and, if you do your part it definitely does its part.
Happy Easter.

Lots of powder gone on that trip.
