....After further review, I doubt it.....no ear rings or pretty necklaces. Does make you a bit more curious about the "bear with a sore ass" phrase though.
I know the books say male bears are solitary but it, from experience, would not be the first time I've seen and heard of juvies hanging out together around food sources. Quite possible they are brothers but just happened to peacefully share a bait pile as there was plenty to share and no threat from each other.

I do think they are littermates I guess one could be a female, they are hard to tell apart, but I know for sure there are 2 that are males. When the camera resets it's hard to tell what happens and who's who for the 3 or 4 minutes after the 3 shot burst. Either way, it is very entertaining to watch their behavior and keeps our excitement up for hunting season! I just wish we had an early season, not sure what will happen come October, if we can keep them coming in...

Bears tend to find a place to den up close to a food source. If you find where they will be and adjust bait to a proximity of around a half mile of eventual den, you can get a much more reasonable area to hunt and plan out habits around your hunt. Big bears roam a 5-10 mile square in the summer months but as the fall approaches that area gets smaller and smaller. By the time season shows up they are already looking for cover with a readily available close source snack before the hibernation.
