I've always thought that Hitler made two mistakes:  entering Russia after he had an agreement with them, and urging the Japs to attack Pearl Harbor.

One can only wonder if Germany would have conquered Europe and held it, if FDR didn't have Pearl Harbor to turn American sentiment for entering another European war.  We will never know.

But we do owe a large debt to those who fought in that war and especially those who died 68 years ago today.

My Mom's Birthday. She passed last summer. Doubt I'll ever forget either. She just knew in her heart that the Japs had done that to ruin her Birthday. Talk about PERSONALIZEING everything!

Dennis, interesting my birthday is August 14 aka VJ day.  Victory in Japan.  My mom passed last year on her 94th birthday.
